Orientation and Access
The central square of the Joanneum Quarter is directly linked to the space underneath it through inverted transparent cones which allow daylight to shine in while also subtly intervening in the street level space. The square has the urban flair of a piazza with some trees and plants and is accessible from both Kalchberggasse and Landhausgasse. Its design and centrality make it an interesting space for artistic interventions, at the same time offering plenty of opportunities to take a break and relax.
The central entry to the Joanneum Quarter leads to the underground Visitor Centre where you find ticketing and information desks, facilities and a museum shop. Here you will also find an auditorium that provides space for presentations and events. The Visitor Centre is the entrance to all of the areas of the museum and the library.
Assistance dogs are allowed throughout the Joanneum Quarter.
